The animated 3D movie, RANGO, takes the number one spot of the weekend box office for the opening weekend period March 4 to 6. Rango features the voice of Johnny Depp and opened last March 4, 2011. Rango earned about $38 million in over 3,900 theaters in US making it to beat The Adjustment Bureau of Matt Damon which earned only about $20.9 million taking the 2nd spot of the weekend box office.

Here’s the top 10 list of the weekend box office with their corresponding gross revenue.

  2. The Adjustment Bureau – $20,945,000
  3. Beastly – $10,115,000
  4. Hall Pass – $9,015,000
  5. Gnomeo & Juliet – $6,912,000
  6. Unknown – $6,620,000
  7. The King’s Speech – $6,501,000
  8. Just Go With It – $6,500,000
  9. I Am Number Four – $5,702,000
  10. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never: The Director’s Fan Cut – $4,325,000
